THERE IS A CAUSE FOR EVERY EFFECT

God revealed to Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong (HWA) the most effective way to eliminate the Marriage Problems or SINS, that is, to use the Principle and Formula of "There is A CAUSE FOR EVERY EFFECT." HWA learned the lesson of this principle, but he failed to identify the real cause, the root-cause of the problem. HWA use the Right Formula but used the Wrong Parameters in the Formula. Therefore, the Solution did not come up right.

During the 1970's, Herbert W. Armstrong (HWA) visited the Philippines several times and hold public campaign preaching the teachings of the Worldwide Church of God (WCG) he founded. HWA confessed to the WCG membership, that every time he is in Manila, or while traveling to Manila, God was inspiring him to go back and study what happened in the Garden of Eden, with the involvement of the 2 Trees. 

HWA said that we should always go back to the Beginning in the book of Genesis, for us to really understand many of God's Mysteries and Revelations, and to solve Humanity's Problems. Thus, God gave hints to HWA that He will reveal great Mysteries of the Kingdom of God in the Philippines, the capital of which is Manila.

AVOID THE DANGER & DECEPTION OF THINKING "I KNOW" BECAUSE YOU KNOW NOTHING YET! DON'T CLOSE YOUR EARS & MIND TO GOD'S REVELATIONS!

Unfortunately, HWA and the WCG Ministry failed to get God's supernal revelations about the Great Mysteries of Marriage and the True Gospel because they think they know these subjects already!

CAN YOU SPOT THE REAL CAUSE WHY THE WORLDWIDE CHURCH OF GOD (WCG), AND OTHER CHURCHES WENT OFF-TRACK?

The WCG was beset with so many Marriage Problems such that the Church Ministry repeatedly announced in the pulpit that MARRIAGE IS THE NUMBER ONE (1) PROBLEM IN THE CHURCH! And this number 1 Marriage Problem is slowly and subtly giving entry to the Liberation Theology of Men, threatening to destroy the Church's original teachings and doctrines! 

HWA mistakenly assumed that the cause of the Marriage Problem is the use of makeup by women in the Church. This explains why he exerted much effort in the research of the subject and history of makeup. And this he explained in great details to the brethren and the entire Church. But he still missed the main point.

HWA USED THE RIGHT FORMULA BUT USED THE WRONG PARAMETERS!

God noticed that HWA use the right formula but used the wrong parameters in the formula. Therefore, the solution did not come up right.

HWA was so occupied then, and so busy preaching the "Gospel" by personal appearances to many nations all over the world. In solving the problem in the Church, he felt satisfied by being able to put Church back on track. But the cause of the problem was not eliminated; it was only hidden inside the Church waiting for another chance to strike back.

GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING, IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN!

So Mr. Armstrong was inspired by God's Spirit of Truth to go back or to think back to the beginning, in the Garden of Eden. This is the same inspiration and spirit of Christ when He advised the Jews before, and to all of us now, to go back to the Beginning, at the First institution of Marriage (Matthew 19:8). This is for all of us to really understand the righteous concept and purpose of Marriage, and the proper way to deal with a Marriage problem, whenever it happens.

• Christ told them, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because of the hardness of your hearts. But it was not like that from the beginning. (Mat 19:8)

• And I tell you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery. (Mat 19:9)

Because of the Jews' low morality, and their inability to comply with the strictness of the original law, Moses, with the permission of God, allowed a relaxation of the strictness of the marriage bond -- not as approving of it, but to prevent greater evils.

But during the lifetimes of the Patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob), there was no such permission, nor any such practice. This is the will of God when He first design Marriage, in the Beginning.

There, in the Garden of Eden started Man's woes and Problems. Here, Satan got to the Man-Husband through the Woman-Wife. How and why did Satan succeed in getting to the Husband through the Wife?

The situation that happened in the issue of Makeup use by women in the Worldwide Church of God (WCG) is exactly the same as that of what happened to the First Couple in the Garden of Eden.

God showed here in the Garden the ROOT-CAUSE of the Problems of Mankind, and the proper way on how to deal with such Problems. God wanted Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong (HWA) and all Pastors, all Marriage Counselors, and all Lawmakers to do the same.

Unfortunately, HWA failed again to get this full message from God! HWA got the inspiration to go back and learn great lessons from what happened in the Garden of Eden, but he failed to see and do what God had done.

Here, in the Garden of Eden, is the recorded method of how to deal with a Marriage Problem. This primordial marriage problem resulted in the eating of the forbidden fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, that resulted in the First Human Sin, that resulted in the ejection of Man from the blessed Garden to the harsh and cursed world outside.

If man will only learn the reason or cause of the First marriage problem here, then man can solve ALL the complicated Marriage Problems in the world, that will solve ALL the problems of the world and ALL the created Universes!

CAN YOU PINPOINT THE ROOT-CAUSE OF THE MARRIAGE PROBLEM IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN?

If you also FAILED to see the cause of the problem and of how God dealt with the problem, it means that you really DON'T KNOW Marriage -- the Great Mystery of Marriage, which involve the True Gospel! 

This is a BIG Litmus Test to every Church Pastor, Minister, Rabbi, Marriage Counselor, Husband, Wife, and to anybody who think they already know Marriage!

Please study again, seriously and in-depth, of what happened in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3.8-17).

• Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and they hid themselves from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.  (Gen 3:8)

• So the LORD God called out to the man and said to him, "Where are you?"  (Gen 3:9)

• And he said, "I heard You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid."  (Gen 3:10)

• Then He asked, "Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I had commanded you not to eat from?"  (Gen 3:11)

• Then the man replied, "The woman You gave to be with me--she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate."  (Gen 3:12)

• So the LORD God asked the WOMAN, "What is this you have done?" And the woman said, "It was the serpent. He deceived me, and I ate."  (Gen 3:13)

• Then the LORD God said to the Serpent: Because you have done this, you are cursed more than any livestock and more than any wild animal. You will move on your belly and eat dust all the days of your life.  (Gen 3:14)

• I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.  (Gen 3:15)

• He said to the Woman: I will intensify your labor pains; you will bear children in anguish. Your desire will be for your husband, yet he will dominate you.  (Gen 3:16)

• And He said to ADAM, "Because you listened to your wife's voice and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'Do not eat from it': The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life.  (Gen 3:17)

Eric Justice Good post, I look back on things and the current state of my and others around myself. Many of the marriages that are in conflict have roots where the woman has strayed away from the guidance of their husband and the husband is not listening to God. I personally know one that the wife believed that her husband should only be listening to her and what she wants because she didn’t believe that God was speaking to her husband.
